Language Services

We currently offer services in the following languages: Español, Soomaali, and Hmoob.

The Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council is dedicated to making the arts accessible to all residents of Southeastern Minnesota. Our language services are just one way we’re working to create a more inclusive arts community.

We are proud to partner with Project FINE to offer free translation, interpretation, and grant writing assistance for artists and culture bearers in Spanish, Somali and Hmoob for Non-English speakers or people with limited English.

Project FINE is a Winona-based nonprofit organization that has served refugees and immigrants in Winona County and the surrounding areas for over three decades. They are dedicated to helping newcomers integrate into the community, providing essential services such as foreign language interpretation, translation services, education opportunities, and empowerment initiatives.

Intercultural Mutual Assistance Association (IMAA) is a Minnesota-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting immigrant and refugee communities through culturally responsive services. IMAA provides professional language access solutions, including interpretation and translation, to help individuals effectively engage with public, nonprofit, and community-based organizations. With a strong focus on equity, access, and inclusion, IMAA works to reduce language barriers and ensure meaningful participation in programs, services, and civic opportunities.
