So far in FY2023, SEMAC has awarded $406,185 in grants to fifty organizations and fifteen individual artists, listed by county.

Dodge County

  • Kasson-Mantorville Public Schools received a $5,000 Small Towns/Rural Areas grant for The Folsom Prison Experience in Kasson.
  • Mantorville Theatre Company received a $5,000 Small Towns/Rural Areas grant for the Completion of Enhanced Safety and Portability of Audience Seating.

Fillmore County

  • Kaley Cross received a $3,000 Emerging Artist Grant for Instinctual Quilt.
  • Chatfield Brass Band received a $4,690 Small Towns/Rural Areas grant for Chatfield Music in the Park Summer Concerts.
  • Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center received a $5,000 Legacy grant for Stringwood Chamber Music on the Hill in Lanesboro.
  • Friends of Peterson received a $10,000 Legacy grant for Gammel Dag – A Scandinavian Midsummer Celebration.

Goodhue County

  • Cheryl Finnegan received a $5,000 Advancing Artist Grant for Individuals from Pine Island, Minnesota.
  • Red Wing Art Association received a $10,000 Legacy grant for Poet Artist Collaboration 2023.
  • Red Wing Collectors Society Foundation received a $10,000 Legacy grant for Red Wing Pottery Historic Kiln Restoration.
  • Zumbrota Area Arts Council received a $5,000 Small Towns/Rural Areas grant for 2023 Summer Music in East Park.

Houston County

  • Lanesboro Barn Dance received a $4,520 Small Towns/Rural Areas grant for 2023 Barn Dance Series.
  • Southeast Minnesota Bluegrass Association received a $5,000 Small Towns/Rural Areas grant for May 2023 Bluegrass Music Festival.
  • Spring Grove Schools received a $5,000 Small Towns/Rural Areas grant for Theatre Partnership.

Mower County

  • Austin Area Commission for the Arts received a $10,000 Legacy grant for Emerging Artists Supports for the ArtWorks Festival.
  • Austin Community Band received a $5,000 Programming grant for Summer Concerts in the Park.
  • Austin Symphony Orchestra received a $5,000 Programming grant for Drama & Democracy with Soprano Alexandra Louisiana.
  • City of Austin Culture & Arts Commission received a $10,000 Legacy grant for Mural Celebrating Diverse Community Members.
  • Matchbox Children’s Theatre received a $5,000 Programming grant for the Production of James and the Giant Peach.
