Minnesota Artists Online

An online database of Minnesota artists from all disciplines. It offers Minnesota-based artists a central gathering place on the web, and will grow to become a marketplace and community hub. It offers the public a new way to explore art and get to know artists. In addition to providing artists with a web page containing images and information, mnartists.org will soon provide news and features about the local arts scene from a variety of sources. The McKnight Foundation partnered with the Walker Art Center‘s New Media Initiatives group to develop mnartists.org.

Minnesota Citizens for the Arts

MCA is a statewide arts advocacy organization that organizes the arts community to lobby the Minnesota State Legislature and Congress. Our mission is to ensure opportunity for all people to have access to and involvement in the arts

The Perpich Center for Arts Education

A state agency unlike any other, the Perpich Center is charged by the Minnesota Legislature to bring the arts into all K-12 education. Its mission is innovative public education, centered in the arts. With over 13 years of effective leadership, the Center is held up nationwide as an example of what is possible in the field of arts and education.

Springboard for the Arts

Offers workshops to artists and administrators, provide low-interest loans for entrepreneurial arts projects, small grants to help artists meet emergency expenses, provide free Internet access, along with books, pamphlets, and other informational materials in our comfortable Resource Center.

Textile Center

The Textile Center is a national center for fiber art. Its mission is to honor textile traditions and promote excellence and innovation in fiber art. The Textile Center represents and supports fiber artists working in all forms of textile media including weaving, quilting, knitting, sewing, needlework, lace making, basketry and beading. A critical part of the Textile Center’s mission is to bring validation and visibility to this field of art. Textile arts arise from all cultures and the Textile Center works to preserve traditional forms as well as to encourage experimentation and the development of new fiber art forms.
