Grant Cycle D - FY2020
The Board of Directors of the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council (SEMAC) recently awarded grants to 29 organizations representing seven counties for a total of $205,025 in funding. This includes nineteen Arts & Cultural Heritage grants for $177,235, five Presenter/Production Assistance grants for $15,000, four Small Towns/Rural Areas grants for $9,145, and one General Operating Support grant for $3,635.
Grants were awarded to each of the following organizations, listed by county. Check with the organizations for schedule changes due to COVID-19 guidelines.
Dodge County
- Mantorville Economic Development Authority received a $1,380 Small Towns/Rural Areas grant for Stagecoach Days 2020
Fillmore County
- Chatfield Center for the Arts received a $3,000 Presenter/Production Assistance grant for Regional One Act Play Festival
- History Alive Lanesboro received a $10,000 Arts & Cultural Heritage grant for Pop Up Plays - Lanesboro 1948
- Peterson Committee for the Arts received a $3,000 Small Towns/Rural Areas grant for The Arts Blossom in Peterson
Goodhue County
- Anderson Center for Interdisciplinary Studies received a $10,000 Arts & Cultural Heritage grant for Sculpture Garden Engagement Program
- Cannon Valley Ensemble received a $1,765 Small Towns/Rural Areas grant for Winter Ensemble for the Cannon Falls Region
- Hispanic Outreach Program of Goodhue County received a $10,000 Arts & Cultural Heritage grant for 2020 Hispanic Heritage Festival
- Sheldon Theatre of Performing Arts received a $10,000 Arts & Cultural Heritage grant for Community Performance Residencies 2020-2021 Season
- Zumbrota Area Arts Council received a $3,000 Small Towns/Rural Areas grant for Art On Main

- Austin Symphony Orchestra received a $10,000 Arts & Cultural Heritage grant for Season 64 - Phoenix Arise!
Olmsted County
- Calliope Theatre Company received a $10,000 Arts & Cultural Heritage grant for Summer Musical 2020 "Jekyll & Hyde"
- Children's Dance Theatre received a $7,735 Arts & Cultural Heritage grant for Enrichment Activities for CDT
- Choral Arts Ensemble of Rochester received a $10,000 Arts & Cultural Heritage grant for CANTUS Choir Residency 2021
- City of Rochester Music Department received a $10,000 Arts & Cultural Heritage grant for World Music Series 2020
- Greater Rochester Arts and Cultural Trust received a $10,000 Arts & Cultural Heritage grant for Park the Arts
- Rochester Male Chorus received a $10,000 Arts & Cultural Heritage grant for Christmas Jubilee 90th Anniversary Concert
- Rochester Music Guild received a $3,635 General Operating Support grant for Administrative Expenses
- Rochester Repertory Theatre Company received a $10,000 Arts & Cultural Heritage grant for Rep Artist Honoraria & Royalties 2020-21 Season
- Southeast Minnesota Federation Music Club received a $3,000 Presenter/Production Assistance grant for SE MN Federation Festival 2021

- Saint Mary's University of Minnesota Performance Center received a $10,000 Arts & Cultural Heritage grant for Page Series Educational and Community Programs (program canceled, grant declined)
