The ongoing grant categories require that applications be submitted at least 30 days before the project begins.

Applications received or postmarked by the corresponding deadline will be screened for eligibility and completeness.  You should receive written verification of the receipt of your proposal within 4-5 days after the deadline.  If you have not heard from SEMAC within that time period, it is your responsibility to confirm that the proposal was received.  SEMAC takes no responsibility for proposals that are not postmarked by the deadline date.  It is up to the applicant to follow these guidelines; note that hand delivered proposals are accepted.  The Arts Advisory Panel will then review all eligible applications.

Final Reports

Within 30 days after completion of a funded project, a Final Report must be submitted to SEMAC.  This report may be downloaded as a Word template or completed on the blank PDF.  Completed reports should be mailed to our office address; electronic files or faxes are not accepted at this time.

Thank You Letters

Recipients are also required to send thank you letters to their legislators as part of the Final Report process.  For this reason, applicants need to know their Minnesota House District Number(s).  Call Minnesota House information at 651-296-2146 or visit their Web site at www.leg.state.mn.us for assistance in determining your district number(s).  A sample letter and list of our regional representatives is provided here for your convenience.  Copies of letters sent must be included with the Final Report.
